I take this opportunity to thank all the members for giving me an opportunity to serve as BSSIA  president.

The   Hon. sec. has already briefed you the program conducted during the year 2008.
The proposal is sent to dept of Industries & commerce for grant in Aid for the year 2008-2009. It is expected that fund will be by March 1st week.

The association is now having 280 members strong team & have abundant potential for growth. I appeal to all the members to spare some of their valuable time and consciously work to advice the goal. We hope to increase to the membership to 800 by the end of year 2010.

This year we are celebrating Silver Jubilee Function. On the eve of this we are conducting National Vendor Belgaum-2009. (North Karnataka industries Exhibition) vendor development meet on 20th & 21st March 2009 & we are also want to celebrate the Silver Jubilee Function on 20th March 2009.

We have planned National Level Industrial Exhibition in the month of September 2009 as Expo 09 North Karnataka industrial exhibition.

We have taken up tree plantation program in association with the forest Department in the Industrial area of the Belgaum. In last rainy season we have planted 700 trees in BEMCIEL and Rajaram nagar area of Udyambag. We have planned to plant another 5000 tree in next two year in other industrial area.

We are planning to construct silver jubilee Udyog Bhavan in Belgaum for the benefit of industrial faternity, there we are going to construct a hall for 1000 members and upgraded lab with modern facilities, mini tool room. We are going to provide employment skill development facilities and employment cell. . We have approached KSSIDC to provide 30 gunthas land, besides foundry cluster.

3)Infrastructure development :
We are asking govt to provide street light and public utilities service, road, water connection other than KSSIDC industries area. We are asking KSSIDC, BEMCEL to provide infrastructure service in their developed areas.
Conclusion :
Gentleman as we come to the end of presentation of 24th annual report, let us take a glance at our priorites. We must seriously campain for membership enrollment drive, organize programme, workshops, study tour, provide wide range of business through news letter etc. and effectively pursue with the govt. for grant in Aid to support these activities for benefit of entrepreneurs and exporters. We are confident of achieving these objectives with your cooperation and motivation, which has inspired all of us to do better.
